Risks Factors of Fatty Liver - The Most Common Liver Disease

Risk factors of fatty liver:

  • Metabolic syndrome
  • Diabetes
  • Insulin resistance
  • Central obesity
  • High triglyceride level

  • Chemical toxins and substances (e.g. pesticides)
  • Some medications: e.g. amiodarone, corticosteroids, synthetic estrogens
  • Age: mostly between 40-65 years old
  • Ethnicity (Hispanic, Asian)

Our liver is a very important organ. It acts as a filter. It detoxifies and purifies our blood. It aids in digestion, metabolism, storage, and production of clotting factors. Treat it well! It's one of the most hardest working organ in our body.
